  1. In the absence of the Director, the Assistant Director shall make all necessary decisions in professional and general operational matters.
  2. In the absence of the Assistant Director, the Senior Head of Department shall do so.
  3. If no department head is in the building, decisions shall be made by the next senior librarian.
  4. If no librarian is present, decisions shall be made by consultation by telephone with the employee’s supervisor, or by telephoning the Director or Assistant Director.
  5. If the Director and Assistant Director are unavailable, and those in charge feel uncomfortable making a decision, they may call the Board President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer or other Trustee.
  6. Consultation among staff and between locations is encouraged.
