- In the absence of the Director, the Assistant Director shall make all necessary decisions in professional and general operational matters.
- In the absence of the Assistant Director, the Senior Head of Department shall do so.
- If no department head is in the building, decisions shall be made by the next senior librarian.
- If no librarian is present, decisions shall be made by consultation by telephone with the employee’s supervisor, or by telephoning the Director or Assistant Director.
- If the Director and Assistant Director are unavailable, and those in charge feel uncomfortable making a decision, they may call the Board President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer or other Trustee.
- Consultation among staff and between locations is encouraged.
