U & I Charity Golf Outing to Benefit the Ypsilanti Community

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

Tee up for Ypsilanti with the U & I Charity Golf Outing! Bruce and Kay Yu, owners of U & I Cleaners, will host their third charity golf outing Saturday, June 25 at Eagle Crest Golf Course. All proceeds from the outing will be divided equally among Ypsilanti District Library, Charter Township of Ypsilanti Fire Department, and Dawn Farm.

The golf outing format will be a four-person scramble. In a scramble, each player tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shots from that spot. The best of the second shots is determined and then all play their third shots from that spot and so on until the shot is holed. There will be prizes for the three lowest scoring teams, longest drives (men and women), and closest to the pin (men and women). Dinner will be served and prizes awarded at the conclusion of the round.

Although the registration deadline for the outing has passed, additional donations are appreciated and can be sent to:   U & I Cleaners, 1934 Whittaker Road, Ypsilanti, MI 48197.

Supported by the Michigan Korean Chamber of Commerce, the Korean American Society of Ann Arbor, The Michigan Korean Weekly, and the Ypsilanti Bank of Ann Arbor.

The Ypsilanti District Library’s mission is to enrich life, stimulate intellectual curiosity, foster literacy and encourage an informed citizenry. For more information, please contact Kay Yu at 734-480-8981 or kyunghwa14@gmail.com.
