What's Your Dream? Build it at the library!
Summer Reading is a fun way to read what you want, explore fun library programs, and win prizes along the way. Whether you're dreaming of becoming an inventor, of learning something new, or of spending a fun and relaxing summer with friends and family, the Ypsilanti District Library can help make your summer dreams come true!
You can track your progress and earn badges from June 17-August 28, 2016.
Pre-registration is open now! Choose from four great programs for all ages.
For little ones (ages 5 and under):
Read, sing, write, talk, play! There are lots of fun activities that parents and children can do together to build literacy skills. Earn badges for reading to your child, attending library storytimes, and trying out activities and games with your child.
For kids (ages 5 to 12):
Children 12 and under can earn prizes for the number of minutes they spend reading or listening to books, with the goal of reading 600 minutes. Bonus points are awarded for reading beyond the goal and participating in library activities. Prizes include passes to Rutherford Pool, a free new book, and more!
For Teens (ages 12 to 18):
Track your summer reading and learning to earn points toward your Summer Reading goal. More points equals more prizes!
For Adults (ages 18 and up):
Read or listen to eight books over the course of the summer to win a finishing gift and be entered in a drawing for prizes from local businesses.
New this summer!
