Celebrate World Laughter Day @ YDL
Wednesday, May 1, 2013
On Sunday, May 5 from 2-3 pm, YDL-Whittaker will celebrate world laughter day with host Carolyn Christopher from The Laughter Project in Ann Arbor. The mission and goal of Laughter Yoga is to bring good health, joy, and world peace through laughter since it is universal with no language or cultural barriers. Come prepared to exercise your laughing muscles.
Laughing has many health benefits: laughter is a stress buster, laughing is like internal jogging, laughter is anti-aging, laughter can help dump depression and anxiety, laughter strengthens the immune system, laughter is a natural pain killer! Laughter just makes you feel good!
Carolyn will show us how to practice Laughter Yoga. Enjoy stories and songs sure to tickle your funny bone. This program is free and open to the public and is appropriate for all ages.
The Ypsilanti District Library’s mission is to enrich life, stimulate intellectual curiosity, foster literacy, and encourage an informed citizenry. For more information about events at YDL, visit www.ypsilibrary.org or call 482-4110 ext. 1303.
